From First Conversation
to Strong Collaboration

When: October 21, 2026 11:00-13:00
Where:
Carlsgatan 3, Malmö

Join us for a lunch seminar on successful company–academic collaborations, with lunch included and kindly sponsored by Mannheimer Swartling.

Successful collaborations start long before the research begins. From the first conversation, the right framework can help build trust, align expectations and create the conditions for a productive partnership.

During the seminar, we’ll explore the key considerations that shape successful collaborations—from protecting intellectual property and managing confidential information to publication rights and regulatory requirements. We’ll look at different IP models and the implications of the Swedish teacher exemption, discuss how to balance scientific publishing with commercial interests, and explore effective ways to manage sensitive information and materials through NDAs and MTAs. A particular focus will be on how our Term sheet can be used as a tool early in the process to align expectations, address key questions and create a clearer path towards a final agreement.

We’ll wrap up with a mingle, giving you the opportunity to continue the conversation, exchange experiences and connect with other participants.
